Whoa!

How's everyone!

I noticed a sudden boom on my blog... I have seen Holimate Stone appearing on various websites... sweet!

Loving the exposure... So as you guys know I've been drawing and working on the game... with my limited time... I've been managing both pretty well I think... Slow but pretty well.

Anyways I was reworking some of the functions in the game so I could make it flow better and get the events to fire properly pretty gruelling stuff but nonetheless working on it as we speak.  I'll have an update for V 0.4 soon maybe in a couple weeks.

For now here are some Characters that I have drawn... thinking if I should add them in Holimate Stone or perhaps another project... Take a look and let me know what you guys think.

  1. I think these chars look good (but of course it can still be better). You can add them to your game because the more sexy girls the better :). By the way your game look interesting I hope you won't give up on it.

    1. I don't plan on abandoning Holimate Stone... But my art is not the same quality as the kind I'm borrowing (not yet atleast) and I have another idea for another game. I don't know yet I am ambitious though that I can run 2 games and draw at the same time because I don't have time constraints on myself.

      Thank you for your time.

  2. Hello

I dont know what are the other project but they can go to the game holimate stone
Are you going to replace all the picture borrow for v0.4 or to replace some ?

    1. No.. for the moment there would be too many pictures for me to remove and re-do I thought about replacing images with my own but I believe that would be redundant and would be sort of a bait and switch for those that are here for the art quality of the game. I will continue Holimate stone for the time being and will definitely give it an ending. I am currently drawing my own characters/scenes for another project that would then be 100% mine and those who are willing to stay for that game through it's progression would remain for it and those who are not interested in it wouldn't have to waste their time if they choose they don't like it.

Everyone would be in the know.

      Thanks for the compliment.

  4. I loved your game but the art you're presenting right now would be a deal breaker for me, you should find a true artist to help you, I don't see how you could find enough time to do both the art and the gameplay...

    1. Thank you for your honesty... As I've mentioned in earlier posts I've just started using Wacom Bamboo and Manga Studio... So I suppose I still have a lot to learn but personally I think I'm getting better. I don't have the cash flow to hire an artist to do the drawing plus artists usually have their own demands, timeline's and projects to deal with and I don't really have the patience to deal with people. That being said if by the time I get moving on the other project and the art is not to your liking I will have to apologize and hope you stick around for Holimate Stone at least. My art will most likely be in a different game project. I have enough time to do the art and game-play, it's writing dialogue and bug testing that usually takes the most time for me.

Thanks for your time and honesty. Hope you stick around!

  5. You just need to adds more scene using others people art (steal them) XD
But make sure that dialog is good and i dont advise you draw new art or get new artist (many games end cose of that) + it will take a lot of your time to manage it all
In the long run you will lose your drive and stop
Focus on dialog more using others people art XD
Well good luck and i hope to see update with new scene realy soon :)
    Sorry my english 0_0

    1. Thank you for your input... I have plenty of CG's that I have borrowed from various locations. I'm adding more scenes and new characters as we speak for V 0.4. The point for me to draw my own CG's is because I like to draw and it has always been a hobby of mine. So I would like to create my own game separate from Holimate Stone. This is a free game I don't intend on charging money for it so I can work on it at my leisure. Dialog is definitely my key aspect for the game. Words with art make a world of difference for me when I'm playing a game myself it helps to really immerse the player into the game because the decisions and consequences feel like they're what you would expect from reality(sort of).

Thank you for your time and input I'll post soon as to when everyone can expect V 0.4.

  7. Sorry about the quiet period... RL has been bit a busy for me with work and other stuff. You should see a release in December hopefully late November.

  8. Hmm, the pictures are alright, subpar or even bad compared to the professional cgs though; I remember reading about some 3d program while browsing hentai games, maybe look into that, as it'll likely speed up the process of getting your art to be good. (Some that comes to mind are Glassix, Harem Collector, and SuperPowered -- Talking to the creator of HC may help, as it's also an RPG Maker game, VXA I think)

    1. Thank you for the insight... you are probably thinking about Daz3d and/or Poser. I don't think 3D meshes well... I did a game with 3d graphics when I was first tinkering with the programs. Take a look at early posts on this blog. Most developers are busy with their own productions and I'm very busy currently with the work (RL - 60 hours a week) that's why the game hasn't seen an update in awhile. Thank you for pointing this out to me once RL get back to normal I will have more free time to start pursuing this with my full attention.

  9. nice game so far. just recently found it on a site syscomics maybe? i forget.

either way, art style is fine, i could care less where it comes from if game is good. its not like you're selling it, so i consider it like a fanfic thing =)

only complaint so far is its hard as hell to figure out what to do next. also i'm that guy that likes to see what scenes you have in the game, so a guide of some kind or checklist, anything really to let us know what you have would be awesome. ALSO, and this is just a minor peev, but would be nice. when something is unfinished, put a holder "coming in next version" or something. i hate when i can't tell if something is broke, bugged, or just not there. =)

    hope the feedback helps thanks

    1. Most people have been complaining about the same thing... I have announced that in the next release I will include a walkthrough for everyone to make it a bit easier. I am an amateur at game making so I apologize I hope you stick around for the next update.

Thanks for the feedback. I will definitely leave a note at the end of events if they're not finished.
